Peter opened this in 2009, when there were very few places in London taking coffee seriously. He's still there, and so is the standard.
Kiss the Hippo's Richmond roastery runs this Soho counter on the same terms, not a licensed spin-off. Every coffee here, blends included, is served with printed tasting notes, and the sourcing reaches Cup of Excellence lots and rare varietals most cafes never touch.
A Carnaby bookstore that takes its coffee as seriously as its shelves. Order the flat white; reviewers call it divine and perfectly balanced.
