Matteo and Sarah built a custom Italian wood roaster during lockdown and now roast named single origins at their Totnes roastery. The caffè is Italian in format, precise in the cup.
Guest espresso changes weekly, cycling through Square Mile, Dark Arts, Crankhouse, and Ozone. Mission Coffee Works runs the house blend alongside.
Warm, odd, and comfortable in the way only independents in market towns manage. The coffee is consistently good.
The pastries are the pull, but the barista takes the coffee seriously. Worth stopping for if you're already on Totnes High Street.
Come for the hand-laminated pastries and naturally leavened sourdough. The coffee is from Sanctuary Coffee, a specialty micro-roaster five minutes away, and it keeps up.
