Old City gets the full Origin programme: named single origins with tasting notes printed on the menu, poured by staff hired specifically for their coffee knowledge.
Clifton Coffee anchors the espresso here, backed by a genuine rotation of guest roasters pulled from Bristol and further afield. The programme reads sharper than the modest Old City counter suggests.
Founded by Colombian-born Jhampoll Gutierrez Gomez, this is direct-trade done literally: Finca las Cruces beans from Risaralda, bought straight from the farmers who grew them. For Bristol, the sourcing chain is unusually short.
