LIFT roasts its own beans under a numbered lot system, naming producers down to the lot rather than hiding behind a house blend. The espresso reads funky and fruity, the kind of cup you describe by what's happening in it, not by the street it's on.
Hermanos roasts its own Colombian beans and pours them as filter or espresso at the same counter, single origins traced to named farms and printed on the menu. Ask what's running today; the story behind the coffee is part of the visit.
